Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Artist's Description

Earthquake faultline, Japan. Rift running from upper left to lower right across agricultural land in the Neo Valley, Japan, in 1891, following the Great Nobi Earthquake. This powerful earthquake took place on 28 October 1891, and caused the formation of rifts up to 6 metres in height. Over 7000 people died, more than 17,000 were injured and over 140,000 buildings destroyed. It was one of the first major disasters to be recorded by photography. Photograph by Japanese photography pioneer Ogawa Kazumasa, published in The Great Earthquake of Japan (2nd edition, 1893) by John Milne and William Kinnimond Burton.
