This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
This work is loosely inspired by the countryside that has been a part of me , whenever I lived in it or near it . Fields of corn and vegetables have always been there ; the yellow strips loosely represent these things . I also remember the hills of Devon and Sussex , two areas with beautiful countryside where I have lived , so I have put shapes based on hills in the work . It is also loosely biomorphic , i e it has shapes influenced by natural forms . The viewer is entitled to their own interpretation , however different .
About Nicolas Grahame Young
Nicolas Grahame Young ( born 1952 ) , won the Sussex Open American Express art prize , at Brighton museum ( UK ) , in 1998 . He was considered , in the words of the judges , the " least derivative " entrant . His work is a unique mixture of abstract surrealism and biomorphism ; he has always been interested in shape and colour , and the tension between nature and the world made by mankind . Young doesn't mind whatever interpretation viewers have of the paintings , as long as they find them stimulating , and hopefully see something different every time they look at them .
